Steve Yzerman's announcement of him stepping down as Tampa Bay GM comes as a surprise although he will remain as an advisor in the last year of his contract. Could it be that he might ne heading to Detroit when this is all said and done? Hoping it's not because of an illness, God forbid. In any event, Stevie Y leaves Tampa in pretty decent shape.
We all know about the Pacioretty trade and signing in Las Vegas. Montreal gets a good, solid Center in Nick Suzuki and it looks like the Canadiens are in full-blown "Jack Hughes" mode now. At least that is how it looks.
