Interesting week with some injuries to key fantasy players, some not so major and then some kinda returning soon.

Tuukka Rask goes down, as does Roberto Luongo. And then there was M-A Fleury in Vegas.  A minor scare for John Gibson, who always seems to get injured. That’s why you need to draft their backups in fantasy.  Golden rule.

Jeff Carter will miss a bunch of time which is a shame but gives LA a chance to take a long look at Adrian Kempe as they need to transition to younger players.

Coming back sooner or later…Mikael Granlund...boy does Minnesota need him back.

And Leon Draisaitl may be returning this week, but concussions are always tricky to predict recovery.

Boone Jenner returned to the Columbus lineup and had 6 SOG but didn’t earn a point.   Soon though.  A PrimePucks™ Rebound candidate.

Go figure that Boston Bruin castoff Malcolm Subban would get his chance in Las Vegas and start out 2-0-0 with a 2.06 GA and sporting a .936 SP.  Are these Golden Knights for real at 6-1-0?

Some decent fantasy pickups from Vegas while they are hot.  D Brad Hunt, formerly from Edmonton and other places, had 2 assists last night and is getting major PP time.  My buddy Steve, and former PP writer/partner, were talking pucks as we watched the Yankee-Astro game Wednesday night and we discussed Hunt because someone picked up Nate Schmidt in our fantasy league.  Strange selection over Hunt or even Colin Miller.

A Dustin Brown resurrection has been sighted in Los Angeles.  Don’t be afraid to scoop him up off the waiver wire.  He is back and contributing in all categories for the time being.  He could fall off the cliff at any momentum but for now, the trend is your friend.

At the Rangers game yesterday and saw them earn a much-needed win on an early Saturday matinee at the Garden.  I guess the wife and I are good luck charms.  Does this mean I have to go to all the home games from here on out?

All I kept saying throughout the game was, ‘watch that #9, he’s really good”.  Of course, Filip Forsberg scored, he had an assist on the other goal.  Damn, he’s good!

I think I mentioned in the PP Draft Guide that Philly was going to be a playoff contender this year.

That Metropolitan Division is going to be a dogfight until the end for teams to get into the playoffs.

I wouldn’t have thought Edmonton would be 2-5-0.  Scoring is down without Leon Draisaitl in the lineup.

Speaking of the Oilers, RW Kailer Yamamoto has found himself playing on a line with McDavid….Preemo spot for the youngster!  And he’s seeing some major ice time and PP time and has managed 3 points in 6 games so far. Go rook!

Some comeback win for the Sabres against the Bruins on Saturday night.  David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand with a pair of goals in that contest.  You can see the importance of Patrice Bergeron to that Boston lineup.  Get your B’s in pronto!

I think it’s only a matter of time before the Buffalo Sabres begin to string along some win streaks this season.  Jack Eichel won’t let them slip too far.

Ottawa is for real and packs quite a bit of offensive weapons in Mark Stone, Mike Hoffman, Kyle Turris,Ryan Dzingel, J-P Pageau & Derick Brassard.  And that’s not even mentioning the best fantasy defenseman out there in Erik Karlsson.

I don’t think I’d want to face the Tampa Bay Lightning this season.  Nikita Kucherov just looks like he is in a league all by himself.  Do we have a60-goal scorer this season?

Asa matter of fact, that whole lineup is just an offensive juggernaut it seems.

Pittsburgh has 3 losses and two of those to Tampa Bay.

I think Antti Niemi’s days in Pittsburgh are just about over.

Stamkos is back!  How many of you doubted his return to elite status after his lost season due to injury? Shame on you!

Welcome back John Tavares from wherever it was that you were.

Love that I had Jake Muzzin on my Rebound list this year!

9 different goal-scorers in that LA-CBS 6-4 game on Saturday.  Spreading the wealth.

Washington is having early season trouble, just like the Montreal Canadiens and NY Rangers.  Turning of the tide in the Eastern Conference?  Christian Djoos was your only scorer against Florida in a 4-1 home loss?  Come on!  What have you done with the real Capitals Donald Trump?  Lol.

Let’s talk after the 15-game mark because I can see New Jersey begin to fall from their mighty start with some close, tight-knit games lately.  Of course, having Cory Schneider go own to injury doesn’t help.

I couldn’t believe that Carolina is 3-2-1 after six games. With their thin schedule, I wasn’t even sure if they played a game or not. LOL.

That Jeff Skinner can get real hot, can’t he?  And he can get real injured too, but maybe those days are behind him.  Happens to young players until they build up their bodies to resist the rigors of a long NHL schedule.

Arizona is going to be good team someday.  Right?

The Wild will start to get their act together as players such as Niedrerreiter, Parise and Granlund return to the lineup.

Viva!  Las Vegas!

Off next weekend so may not be any ADD’EM, Who’s Hot, Who’s Not and Sunday Morning Coffee unless I get a replacement.  Have a great Halloween!

May all your fantasies come true this week!
